Hosting a child’s party can either get those creative gears turning or cause you to freeze up when faced with the huge amount of party ideas out there. Thankfully, if your child vocalizes what kind of party theme they’d like, you can really start to narrow down appropriate food and decorations.
This was definitely the case for our soon to be two year old, as almost everything that came out of her precious little mouth had something to do with Winnie the Pooh! So it should be no surprise that we went with a Winnie the Pooh party. And if your reading this that probably means your child is a tubby little cubby fan too! So to take any stress you had left for the special day, I’ve compiled 10 creative ways to host a Winnie the Pooh party just for you!
10 Creative Ways to Host a Winnie the Pooh Party: The Cake
Use Pineapple Flowers to Create a Simple and Elegant Winnie the Pooh Party Cake
Lately, Ive been keeping the children’s birthday cakes super simply. Why? Because cake can get super expensive real fast. And I’ve found there are other ways to showcase the party theme with less effort. So I went for adding DIY Pineapple Flowers to some stacked cheesecakes I got from the grocery store. Not only did this add the perfect amount of simplicity and elegance, but the kids loved eating them!
Tip: Get your kids in on the fun! Have them ice the cake, don’t worry about it being super smooth. Some texture adds great depth. And let them place the Pineapple Flowers. Hey, if you really don’t like where they put it you can always move it! Lol

Incorporate Flowers or Rather Golden Grasses
A party wouldn’t be the same without some flowery artistic touches! But for this Winnie the Pooh party I went with a totally unique, and now currently on trend, grass banner created by Aster & Calyx . Not only did it suit the golden honey color pallet I created for this party theme, but it complimented the sophisticated and modern feel of this party too.
Aster and Calyx really nailed my vision by including wispy papas grass, corn grass and purple fountain grass. Not to mention this golden grass banner will cost a fraction of fresh blooms. Win!
